I've played in lots of bands including Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire, Kevin O'Donnell's Quality Six and Las Guitarras De España. I currently lead a latin combo called Los Hombres Perdidos - named the "Best Dance Band in Chicago" by the Chicagoist.

My fascination with design began with Nike's Air Trainer 1 and 80's metal bands 3D logo type. Thankfully my tastes have matured to appreciate fine art (Charley Harper), Silk screened indie rock posters (Delicious Design League, Spike Press) and infographics (Edward Tufte, Kirk Goldsberry).
technology
I've been working in technology since the dawn of the internet. In that time I've been a technical writer, designer, developer, marketer and product manager. Like my dad with a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle, put me in front of a web project and I will get it running. You will want to ride shotgun.

Personal philosophies: Perfect is the enemy of good. Correct decisions are the enemy of decisions. Listen hard, trust users, release as much as possible. Fail early, fail fast, fail often.
